A new adventure

I'm attending a program at the School for International Training called CONTACT beginning May 31. The 3 week program is called conflict transformation between cultures. You can see more details at the SIT site. The program lasts for three weeks and then I stay a few more days to continue w/ the program for a graduate certificate . Most of the remainder of the program is online with a week in a conflict country in January 2011. I'll find out more details towards the end of the on campus program in June.

My fellow students have been introducing themselves online. The majority of students are from non-US countries. Most are engaged in ngo (not for profit organizations) or peace building work of some kind. Their backgrounds are quite diverse.

During the program, we will stay in dorms on the SIT campus so I'll have a roommate for the month. After Peace Corps, this seems very doable.

I'm starting this new blog so my friends can keep up with me as I once again take a big leap into who knows what. I'll post pics of the class and my classmates along with narrative about the classes and the overall process .
